It’s nights like this when my mind starts to twist

And hours like these when I stay up listening to the trees.

Maybe I’m not sane, but I can hear what they say

When I was younger I didn’t have this strain

I had a section of my family and a large amount of pain

So as the trees sway they say in airy chimes

As a child, they tried

Now all they do is lie

I can hardly manage to close my eyes

The night haunts me because only they know all my lies

They’ve synced with the storms that brew in my eyes

and lightning has struck like blades I myself dug inside of my thighs

So as my mind shatters but rebuilds strong as stone

I wonder to myself

How much longer until the light of day is shown?
